LMU SCHOOL OF BUSINESS SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH MONGOLIA’S IDER UNIVERSITY



February 18, 2013 - Harrogate, Tennessee — The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business and Ider University, of Mongolia, have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide students at both institutions an opportunity to participate in an undergraduate 2+2 and Master of Business (MBA) 1+1 programs.

The memorandum of understanding outlines an articulation agreement where Ider University will provide LMU students with an opportunity to study abroad for two years in the undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration program and one year for the MBA program. Likewise, LMU will provide Ider University students with the opportunity to study abroad two years for the undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration program and one year for the MBA. All coursework will be taught in English. Additionally, students participating in the exchange program will be eligible for a 10% tuition discount for coursework.

Ider University is a private institution of higher education in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Established in 1995, the University is rated as one of the Top-10 Mongolian Private Institutions. Ider University offers 14 majors in its three different colleges: the School of Business and Marketing, the School of Pedagogy and Social Work, and the School of Technology. Ider is accredited by the Mongolian Ministry of Education at an Advanced Level and holds candidate status for the American Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The LMU School of Business is also accredited by ACBSP.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at LMU earlier this month. LMU Vice President for Academic Affairs Clayton Hess and School of Business Dean Jack McCann signed on behalf of LMU. Alimaa Jamiyansuren, advisor, signed on behalf of Ider University.

Ider University has a mission to contribute to the establishment of modern civic society. It aims to involve students in decision making processes and to teach students to solve their own problems by themselves. Ider University is located in the prime district of Mongolia’s capital city, Ulaanbaatar, near the Sukhbaatar Square and is surrounded by student campuses.
