March 27, 2013 - Harrogate, Tennessee — Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites its faculty, staff, students and alumni for LMU Family Day at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., on Sunday, April 21.

Dollywood, a theme park owned by entertainer Dolly Parton and Herschend Family Entertainment, features standard amusement park thrill rides and traditional crafts and music of the Smoky Mountains. The park’s international celebration, Festival of Nations, will be going on during the LMU Family Day. This will feature cultural events by performers from around the world and international cuisine. A highlight will be Dollywood’s new show, Cirque Shanghai, featuring Chinese acrobats.

LMU is offering discounted admissions tickets to the amusement park, $38 for an adult one-day pass and $32 for a child one-day pass. Additionally, the one-day passes may be upgraded to a Dollywood Season pass for an additional $23. Other upgrade options are also available including super passes and gold passes.

LMU President B. James Dawson is also sponsoring a free Smoky Mountain Buffet for attendees at 2 p.m. at the Blue Ribbon Pavilion in the park.
