LMU INVITES COMMUNITY TO BLACK HISTORY MONTH PRESENTATION



February 11, 2014 - Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) will welcome guest speaker Odell A. Bizzell, II, on Thursday, February 20, 2014, as part of the University’s Black History Month activities. The event is co-sponsored by LMU Student Services and the Black Student Union.

Bizzell is a trained facilitator by Toastmasters International, successful entrepreneur, an author of five books, all while in his 20s. He’s been featured in USA Today, Yahoo! Finance, CNBC.com and over 200 media outlets. His speaking style has been described as “inspirational comedy,” which means he entertains while he enlightens and empowers. Bizzell holds a master’s degree in management and leadership and specializes in motivational speaking, leadership and staff trainings. Bizzell has presented on the same stages as Super Bowl winning coach Jim Caldwell, Senior Political Advisor for the Obama administration Dave Axelrod, and many others.

Bizzell will speak at 1 p.m. on February 20 in the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center in the Duke Hall of Citizenship on the LMU main campus in Harrogate, Tenn. The event is free and open to the public. Local teachers are encouraged to bring middle and high school students to the presentation.
