LMU ZOMBIE SPRINT TRIATHLON SET FOR AUGUST 30
August 11, 2014 - Harrogate, Tennessee — Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Student Services and LMU-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Club will present the LMU 2014 Zombie Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
The zombie theme invites participants to dress as a zombie and finish feeling like one. The event includes a 500-yard swim at Earls Hollow along the Powell River, a 10-mile bike and 3-mile run on a course that will start on the LMU main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee, and proceed through Cumberland Gap and Tipprell, Tennessee. The free event is open to all LMU students and employees. Registration is available online at http://alumni.LMUnet.edu/zombie-tri. Bicycles are available to students through the Residential Life department.
A pre-event spaghetti dinner with mandatory safety talk is set for Friday, August 29, where participants can pick up their bib and t-shirt. Ironman finisher and LMU-DCOM second year student Pamela Schultz will be featured as the guest speaker at the dinner which is free to triathlon participants. Non-participants can attend the dinner for $9.
Prizes will be awarded for champions, top finisher for each leg, most realistic and best dressed zombies.
