May 25, 2011 - Ray E. Stowers, D.O., vice president of health sciences and dean of Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM), received the Paul Grayson Smith, Sr. Physician of the Year Award from the Tennessee Osteopathic Medical Association (TOMA) at their annual conference in Gatlinburg in April.

The award is presented in recognition of the physician’s outstanding dedication to serving the needs of the public and of the physician’s exemplary contributions to osteopathic medicine. It was established by TOMA in 1987 in honor of Smith, the award’s first recipient.
