LMU WINS FOUR AWARDS FOR PR AND MARKETING
May 25, 2011 - Harrogate, Tennessee, May 25, 2011—The Office of Marketing and Public Relations at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) won four awards – two golds, one silver and one bronze – in the recent Tennessee College Public Relations Association Communications Awards competition.
“I am delighted the efforts of our marketing and public relations staff have been recognized. Our team has been very effective in raising awareness for LMU during a time of exceptional growth,” said Vice President for University Advancement Cynthia L. Whitt.
The contest was held in conjunction with the association’s spring conference in Chattanooga, May19-20.
The Office of Marketing and Public Relations received the two gold awards for the print advertising, series and radio advertising, series categories. The print series was entitled “I found my career path at LMU” and featured successful LMU alumni. The radio series promoted the opening of LMU-Cedar Bluff and was entitled “Can you see it?...LMU-Cedar Bluff.” The LMU-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine newsletter, COMmunity Linc, earned a silver award in the printed newsletter category and LMU’s “Campus Trivia Tuesday” Facebook feature earned bronze recognition in the social media category.
Formed in 1975, the TCPRA is an alliance of communicators who represent many of Tennessee’s public and private colleges and universities, two-year technical schools, technology centers and community colleges and work to define higher education in the state.
