THIRD ANNUAL DOGGIE DASH TO BENEFIT CLAIBORNE ANIMAL SHELTER SET FOR MARCH 2
February 4, 2013 - The Third Annual Doggie Dash 5K Run and Dog Walk will be held Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. in the east parking lot of Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) on the LMU main campus in Harrogate, Tenn. The Doggie Dash benefits the Claiborne Animal Shelter and is sponsored by the Student Osteopathic Medical Association at LMU-DCOM.
The event will also feature a dog costume contest, photography, face painting, “meet the puppies,” homemade dog treats, and more. While individuals are welcome to bring their dogs with them, runners and walkers do not need to bring a pet in order to participate.
Preregistration is $15 per runner/walker, and $20 the day of the race. There is no registration fee for dogs and children 12 and under. Dogs must be on leash at all times. To register online visit alumni.lmunet.edu/doggiedash2013.
The Claiborne Animal Shelter is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building and operating an animal shelter in Claiborne County, Tenn. The shelter has been built entirely from donations, fundraisers and volunteers.
