LUKASIK NAMED STUDENT D.O. OF THE MONTH
February 12, 2013 - Justin Lukasik of Jackson, Mich., has been named a Student D.O. for the month of February at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) in Harrogate, Tenn. Lukasik is a first-year osteopathic medical student at LMU-DCOM.
The Student D.O. of the Month is a program of the LMU-DCOM Student Government Association (SGA) and is designed to recognize an outstanding first- and second-year student each month. Among the criteria examined for the honor are involvement in LMU-DCOM, leadership skills, community service, class attendance, initiative, attitude and professionalism. Nominations are made to the SGA and voted on by the officers.
Lukasik received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. Prior to enrolling at LMU-DCOM, he worked at Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for two and a half years. At LMU-DCOM he is a member of the surgery, internal medicine and emergency medicine clubs.
