December 11, 2013 - Rodney Steff of Bowling Green, Ky., has been named a Student D.O. for the month of December at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) in Harrogate, Tenn. Steff is a second-year osteopathic medical student at LMU-DCOM.

The Student D.O. of the Month is a program of the LMU-DCOM Student Government Association (SGA) and is designed to recognize an outstanding first- and second-year student each month. Among the criteria examined for the honor are involvement in LMU-DCOM, leadership skills, community service, class attendance, initiative, attitude and professionalism. Nominations are made to the SGA and voted on by the officers.

Steff received his associate of applied science degree in paramedicine from Western Kentucky University and his bachelor of science in business management from Mid-Continent University. At LMU-DCOM Steff serves as president of the Student Association of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is also a member of the student chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and the Student Tactical and Operational Rescue Medicine club. He and his wife Amber have one son, Lucas. Steff is the son of Terry Steff and Karen Walker.
