LMU DEDICATES COMPUTER LAB IN HONOR OF BRISLEYS



February 18, 2008 - Harrogate, Tennessee, February 18, 2008 –Last week Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) dedicated the Dr. Chester and Mrs. Eva Brisley Computer Laboratory in the University’s new Business-Education building. The dedication ceremony was held on Valentine’s Day, a date very fitting to honor a couple who recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.

Dr. Brisley came to LMU after teaching at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Brisley played an integral role in the continued development of the University’s business school and during his tenure served as both a faculty member and dean. Under his direction the Master of Business Administration program was founded.

“Countless students who have passed through the School of Business are indebted to Dr. Brisley for his insight and commitment to their success as students and growth as individuals,” said Dr. Nancy B. Moody, president of LMU. “LMU was truly blessed to have a person such as Dr. Brisley, a man who was fully committed to students, to the University, and to the academic profession.”

The state-of-the-art computer lab houses 24 computers and is equipped with smart classroom technology, including interactive videoconferencing capability and projection screen. The Brisleys will continue to support the lab through a charitable remainder unitrust.
