LMU-DCOM STUDENTS CELEBRATE NATIONAL HEART MONTH
February 24, 2009 - The Women’s Health and Medical Society at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) recently sold t-shirts to promote the American Heart Association’s annual “Go Red for Women” campaign. Students wore their t-shirts on Friday to celebrate the campaign. Part of the proceeds of the t-shirt sales will be donated to the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Heart Association. The Go Red for Women campaign is held in conjunction with National Heart Month and seeks to raise awareness that while heart disease is the number one killer of women, it is largely preventable and women can take steps to lower their risk.
The DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine is located on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.
