REGISTER NOW FOR THIRD ANNUAL GOLDEN SCALPEL GOLF TOURNAMENT
March 25, 2010 - The Third Annual Golden Scalpel Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Woodlake Golf Club in Tazewell, Tenn. The Tournament is presented by the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM). The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
This year’s tournament is sponsored by DeRoyal Industries. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit Remote Area Medical (RAM). RAM provides a wide range of free basic health, dental and optical services to the people of Southwest Virginia, Eastern Kentucky and Northeast Tennessee. The Knoxville-based organization also provides services outside the United States. Since its founding in 1985, RAM has provided services at over 550 health expeditions both in this country and overseas. On average, the group conducts one expedition per month in various communities throughout the Southeast. LMU hosts a RAM clinic each May. The next RAM clinic at LMU will be held May 22-23, 2010.
Registration is $500 for a team of four and $400 for a team of four LMU students with ID. Individual registration is $125 per person or $100 per LMU student with ID. Registration includes golf, a $65 gift certificate to the on-site Callaway Mobile Pro Shop, a catered lunch and a bucket of range balls.
The First Place team will win four Callaway Diablo drivers (a $1200 value). Second Place will win four Callaway Jaws wedges (a $480 value). Other tournament contests include Longest Drive, Closest to Pin and Putting Contest.
