AUDITIONS SET FOR THE RAILSPLITTER PLAYHOUSE FALL PRODUCTION
September 9, 2010 - Lincoln Memorial University’s (LMU) Railsplitter Playhouse is casting for its fall production of The Curious Savage. The auditions will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, September 20 and 21 in the Duke Hall of Citizenship on the campus of LMU.
Director Sara Schutz is casting roles for six women and five men. Faculty, staff, students and the community are encouraged to audition. Auditions will consist of reading from the play script or performing a prepared monologue. Attendance is only required at one of the audition sessions.
The play, written by John Patrick, centers on Ethel Savage, who has been left a large inheritance by her late husband. When her stepchildren do not approve of her plans for the money, they commit her to a sanatorium. The Curious Savage is a touching comedy, packed with wonderful characters. In the end, the question becomes who is truly crazy.
The performance dates for the production have been set for November 10-13 in the Duke Hall of Citizenship Auditorium. For more information please contact Schutz at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (865) 585-5377.
