HUDDLESTON INDUCTED INTO LMU'S PROFESSIONAL HALL OF FAME



October 20, 2010 - Michelle Vannoy Huddleston of Harrogate, Tenn., was recently inducted into the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Professional Hall of Fame. Huddleston was inducted into the Hall of Fame by LMU President B. James Dawson at a ceremony held during LMU’s annual Homecoming last weekend.

Huddleston graduated from LMU in 1991 as valedictorian with a degree in accounting and subsequently began her professional career. She has been with Commercial Bank in Harrogate for 16 years and holds one its top positions as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.

Huddleston has given back to her community in many different ways. She has been a business education partner with Claiborne County P16 Council, providing personal finance management education programs for high school seniors. She is a member of the Tennessee Bankers Association Personal Economic Program, where she travels to school systems teaching students and speaking to them about financial responsibility and management of personal finances.

Huddleston is devoted to her community in countless ways, including local politics, serving on the Claiborne Co. School Board of Education since 1998. She is also a member of Pump Springs Baptist church where she worked in its Vacation Bible School. She has also participated in the Claiborne Co. SCOOP for 15 years and served as a Board Member of the Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority EOC since 2008.

She has also assisted national programs that are devoted to helping this area. She is a member of the Federal Reserve Community Reinvestment Roundtable for East Tennessee since 2005 and she’s volunteered locally with the Remote Area Medical Clinic in 2007 and 2008. She’s also been a Team Recruitment and Fund Raising Chair for the Bell Co. Repair Affair Event. She’s been a participant in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life committee member since 2005. In 2006, 2008, and 2009 she also served as Claiborne Co. Event Chair for Relay for Life and she helped to raise over a half-million dollars to benefit cancer research.
